Pros
Working at Barnhart Crane & Rigging is honestly a great experience. The people make a huge difference—good coworkers, good attitudes, and a culture where everyone is willing to help each other out. You never feel like you’re on an island because there’s always someone to collaborate with or bounce an idea off of. The benefits are strong too, especially the 10% retirement match and the nurse advocacy benefit, which actually comes in handy when you need help navigating care. Between the supportive environment and the solid benefits, it feels like a place where you can grow, do meaningful work, and enjoy the team you’re doing it with.
Cons
Like any company, Barnhart Crane & Rigging has its challenges. The pay is slightly below industry standards, not drastically, but just enough that it’s noticeable at times. For those of us in sales, it would be nice to have the option of working on commission or even a partial commission structure to better reflect effort and results. And there are stretches when the workload and hours can feel heavy, especially when multiple projects hit at once. That said, the work is manageable overall, and the team support does make a big difference.
