Pros
1) Good health care benefits 2) Looks good on your resume 3) Gym and Clinic in the building 4) Good technology 5) Very demanding and competitive but you will learn a lot. Stressful; however, it builds create tolerance for stressful and challenging environment.
Cons
- Favoritism is king also a lot of harassment - Depending on the department crap salary (mediocre bonus) - Women make significantly less than men. I know this from years at Barclays and speaking to colleagues) - Very long hours. - Power struggles within senior management - No room for mistakes. - Extremely hard to get promoted - Little to no support for internal moves - Your social media will be checked (this is common sense) - Horrible HR. Do not ever make the mistake of thinking anything you say is confidential
