Pros
Good pay, sense of pride being able to help the troops. When they have contracts the faculty runs like a business should. But when layoffs start - look out for buses and keep your back to the wall.
Cons
Union runs the place. Lack of support in certain departments due to the fact that their leadership is not in the "old boys club". 6-7 day work weeks. Meetings to schedule meetings. They change job titles so you have to interview for your own job. Even if you have "exceeds expectations" on all your previous reviews you are laid off for no reason.
