Pros

Some great supervisors tickle your brain when it comes to clinical work, love how they truly individualize curricula for each kid. When it comes to behavioral artistry, I think they do an amazing job shaping that for young upcoming individuals in the field.

Cons

Nothing to really complaint about! I had a great time and got a lot of exposure and intensive training during my time spent at the company.

Pros

You're paid for getting your RBT certification, you get "training", there is flexibility in hours, your supervisor will lie on your assessment to get you to take your RBT test sooner than you should.

Cons

Supervisor and trainers see trainees as less than, you will face micro-aggressions if you are anything less than robotic in your responses to them, you will be belittled and given contradicting feedback without the permission to question anything, your trainers are dating and completely in the pocket of your supervisor. Supervisor is rarely present and will take the word of the trainers as fact rather than creating her own opinions through actual supervision. There is little room to advance in this field unless you plan to get your MA in the same field, in which you'll recieve a small pay increase for a much larger work load.

Thank you for your feedback. As you mentioned, we gladly offer paid RBT training for new employees, in addition to providing free RBT training to the general public through our foundation. I’m sorry to hear your employment at our New York clinic was less than positive as we strive to provide quality treatment not only for the children we serve, but a sustainable work environment for our staff. We understand that it can be rather difficult to advance within the field of ABA without attaining a master’s degree and a professional credential such as BCBA. Nonetheless, we aim to provide staff support and opportunities to grow in their career while working towards those next steps if so desired, and will continue to assess and adjust how to best support our staff as a growing clinic. I would be happy to discuss this further with you, feel free to email employment@autismpartnership.com at your convenience.
