Pros
Pay and benefits are more than fair. Unlimited time off. A commitment to diversity, equity & inclusion. New luxurious headquarters in Nashville. Some openness to remote work. Apparently infinite resources.
Cons
In 2019, Asurion acquired and then renamed uBreakiFix, gaining a direct-to-consumer sales channel. Unfortunately, instead of hiring new executives with experience in retail, or even heeding the uBreakiFix people on staff with a deep understanding of retail, they just retrofitted all their insurance company personnel, methods and infrastructures onto their new retail and franchising business. The results have been 100% predictable to anyone who knows how retail businesses typically operate. Rookie mistakes and crazy inefficiencies abound because they have not called in or heeded experts in retail or franchising. They are learning everything the hard way, through trial and error, because they got rid of the uBreakiFix executives and did not hire new executives with experience in retail. Every difficulty the company has experienced over the past few years was easy to predict (and thus easy to avoid) if people experienced in retail had been leading the way.
