Pros
I have been employed from the beginning with Assisting Hands Home Care in Philadelphia. I am writing this review because of a damaging review that someone wrote and feel that I should write a rebuttal . The owners (former businessman and teacher) took a chance starting their own company. Both of them researched the home care industry and believed they could create a better company than what was currently out there. I respect these two people for their work and personal ethics. One of the owners took a CNA course to better understand what the CNA knowledge base was. The owners have been more than fair with me and the others who have been employed here. They are flexible and employees in the office work on the honor system of reporting their time. Employees are expected to be honest.
Cons
Occasionally, an employee may be asked to work extra hours to see a client, potential client or aide in the home. The owners will ask but employees are never required. The owners are in the field more than the employees. I always try to accomodate because I would like to see Assisting Hands succeed as a Home Care Agency. When you see people work so hard to make a better Home Care Agency, you want them to succeed.
