Armstrong Watson is a genuinely supportive place to build your career as a trainee. The culture across teams is friendly and collaborative, with colleagues who are always willing to help. There’s a strong emphasis on professional development, and the firm is clearly ambitious and growing, which creates great opportunities for staff. The day-to-day work is engaging, client-facing, and provides a solid foundation for progressing in your career.

The biggest area for improvement is the benefits package, it’s extremely below par compared to industry standards and doesn’t reflect the otherwise high quality experience of working here. While management regularly runs culture surveys, the feedback gathered doesn’t always translate into visible change, which can be frustrating and it shows no sign of changing, this I know is a huge frustration as a business we talk about all this amazing growth but then don’t reflect it in staff benefits… when you try and raise it it’s just the same old words and no changes which is really unfortunate. Furthermore there is a smart working policy in place for working from home etc which is in writing only and not allowed in reality.

Excellent place to work. Get on well with colleagues.
