Pros
I feel like I'm part of a great team. I have come from other jobs where you're just another cog in the wheel but at AnalogFolk I feel like I am really appreciated and rewarded. The people you work with are great and it makes coming to work a lot of fun. As a designer the work has been very diverse, which surprised me as I came in under the impression it would just be digitally focused. Since I have been here I have been involved in several campaigns which involved animation, social media advertising and print design. I have really felt like my entire skill set has been used. The social atmosphere within the studio is great too. It is very relaxed the majority of the time and we all work together as a team to meet tight deadlines. Office dog is always a great way to take a break form work. Fully stocked bar and kitchen is always appreciated. If you make it to full-time you will have a painted artwork put on the wall of you. The artworks are renaissance inspired. This was a huge moment for me as it made me feel like part of the team right away. There is a playstation, Wii and ping pong table in the office encouraging a social atmosphere. Monday mornings means breakfast is provided at the studio.
Cons
Lighting can be an issue at times. During the winter months get used to darkness and make sure you rest your eyes every now and then. The chairs aren't perfect ergonomically and forced me to get a back support after my first week (personal thing). Pub up the road lacks a decent kitchen and the pub down the road can be pricey.
