Toxic Working Environement/Toxic Management - Principal Engineer American Science and Engineering Employee Review

Every day was like a barroom brawl. Politics were the worst I've ever witnessed. Some people openly hated others. They have cleaned house by laying off primarily those who had highest salaries...this includes senior engineers and managers. A couple of managers were certifiable i.e. psychotic and sadly they did everything they could to keep their jobs by backstabbing others. Even during good times 2004-2013, it was par for the course to fire people. Mind you, not lay-off but FIRE. If one of the managers didn't like you for whatever reason, you were history. Most toxic company I have worked at in the 30+ years I've worked as an engineer.
