Cons
Compensation package and focal review are competitive, but screwed up by political managers as they only give it to the select few yes men. Being open means trouble makers, and managers are busy filtering messages to their bosses that they will not back their own sub-ordinates when it comes to solving issue. I agree with someone down there that having laptop at meeting is a strict no-no. My manager also warned me not to dream of good focal if I openly oppose his ideas and not following his style! The focal structure gives absolute power to managers to be emotional and selective to their direct reports. Imagine you have on one occasion where the CEO provided a guarantee for focal budget in an open communication to be over riden by the director by having an urgent meeting right after so that he can manipulate the budget for his beloved. Used to have good benefits but kept whittled down from the HR. Example, pregnancy coverage were reduced drastically over the years ... and you wonder all these happened after the HR lady completed her own pregnancy claim, go figure! The executive managements have the right idea of running the company, but the management folks below them are screwing up big time.
