      Pros

      Compensation is ok. On site fitness that you can do exercise during lunch time. Beautiful campus with lots of parking space. Location is good.

      Cons

      Poor management. The managers have not technical skills, nor management skills. They only know how to kiss the ass of their boss. Skil set you learn is very limit and will lose market value if you stay there too long. Don't trust experience or knowledge of new hired. Most of engineers are not happy working there.

      Interesting technology and ambitious business goals.

      Cons

      Extremely political work environment. The middle level managers are driven with just one goal: do what ever it takes to save oneself from being laid-off. The top-level management runs the company by instilling fear in the employees. Employees are constantly and overtly under the threat of having their jobs outsourced to the Altera's branch in Malaysia. Its a very unhealthy work environment unless you are someone who thrives in adversarial state.

      Great engineers Exciting technology - forefront of tech Friendly people Helpful engineers Very process oriented and organized, which is helpful

      Cons

      Bad, really bad management, no clue as to what they are doing Lot of politics, management seems to enjoy putting people up against each other Incompetent management, who are not technically tuned into what needs to happen, but make all technical decisions No co operation, colloboration between departments and groups Very process oriented, which is a pain even to deal with simple things
