Pros
- Friendly and supportive colleagues. In general, there is a very nice atmosphere in the company, everyone feels welcome, and people are happy to help everyone out. - Good first step into the industry if you are junior level. - Chance to work on some exciting projects and AAA titles. - Great workplace if you are passionate about making hair. - Great IT support, and the company was pretty good with setting up remote work during the pandemic.
Cons
- Certain tools and workflows are outdated and could be optimized. As a result, artists end up doing a lot of manual, time-consuming tasks. - Management can sometimes be unorganized. -Sometimes it was very difficult to communicate with the management. Would need to wait a long time for their response to simple questions or requests. - An imbalance between roles - the company was hiring too many junior-level artists. Junior artists are not always getting proper training, very 'learn as you go' feeling, which can be stressful during crunch time. Senior artists would often feel overworked due to having too many junior artists to supervise. - Junior-level character artists are not always given a variety of character-related tasks. They can get scheduled to do hair-related tasks only, for months, which can be demotivating.
