Pros

GREAT opportunity if you want a career in sales Young work environment for people fresh out of college Unlimited earning potential Lots of Happy Hours Professional Development for people fresh out of college If you fit-in, you will love it The overall experience gained from working here

Cons

Work/life balance probably couldn't be worse. You are expected to work a minimum of 55 hours a week. End of discussion. And then you are expected to work longer hours if your goal is missed (and being you are in the business of working with/depending on people, a lot of times this is out of your control) so you really end up working 60+ hours a week. But this is the real kicker! You would think that with all of those hours you rack up that they may be somewhat liberal in you taking the time-off that you actually have and/or leaving early/coming in late to take care of things...well no, this isn't the case. It is a sin to not be in the office. And when you are not at the office, you are still expected to be at home making call sheets, checking your email, etc. They will tell you they believe in work life balance, but it is simply an instance where they tell you one thing and and practice another. Cult-like environment: you either fit-in, kiss a## and do great, or you show signs of being an individual and soon be ousted. It pretty much is a fraternity where everyone is the same and does the same thing. It is even banned to have facial hair. Pay: Yes you CAN make bookoo (is that how you spell it?) money, and there ARE recruiters that make closer to six figures. But in the grand scheme of things, with the base salary of $33,000 and the spread (commission) structure, MOST recruiters even after a year are still making less than $45,000/year. Take that, and compute the fact that they/we are working 60+ hours a week (minimum of 55) then you see that the pay structure, especially based on how many hours you work, is terrible. Growth potential: Unless you want to be an Account Manager, you will not last working here, point-blank-period. If you want a career in HR or something similar, and cannot find another job, this will be a great stepping stone for another job after Aerotek. However, if you are coming into Aerotek looking for a great company to grow in, and you don't want to be an Account Manager (career in sales) then you are absolutely wasting your time.

Pros

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

Cons

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con" As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.
