Pros
okay salary for upstate ny. if you're the type of person who loves politicking to get ahead, you'll fit in great. if you haven't bothered or were unwilling to learn anything new since you graduated college in the 80's, this is the perfect place
Cons
- company has no clear vision or leadership - terrible tech stack, management afraid of ideas newer than 1999 - management demands complete loyalty and commitment but shows none in return - management is unable to say "no" to anyone, internal or external, which leads to a lot of empty promises internally and a lot of death marches from promising things to external clients without checking with the engineers to see if it's actually doable - systems team is afraid of devops and automated testing, so engineers waste a ton of time - priorities change daily and aborting sprints and features is constant - HR has some big conflict-of-interest problems. can't describe more on Glassdoor but if you interview there you'll figure it out - leadership team disappears from the office for weeks without informing people where they went - everyone is leaving / has left because people are working 60+ hours a week with no gratitude from management
