Pros
I enjoyed working for ActionLink. It was a weekend only job so fit my schedule perfectly. There was a lot of training online to learn stuff I needed. The pay rate was great for a part time role. Better than a few other retail jobs I was considering. There was a bonus structure and prizes. It wasn't crazy bonuses but it was nice getting a gift card here and there for efforts we made. The store I worked in was good travel distance from where I lived. They look for that when hiring and that made my weekend commute better than my 9-5 commute. If you have interest in the field it feels less like work. I worked in electronics and that was easy for me to pick up since I already had interest in it.
Cons
Depending on where you get placed it can be a lot to learn. You have to know your product to answer customer questions and it takes a while to build some knowledge. This job is not for people who are introverted. I'm introverted and enjoyed it but that's because I made an effort to get to know people around me. You're kind of an odd man out in the stores you get placed so you have to reach out and be bold and initiate contact. I noticed people who did not do this had a harder time meeting goals and quotas. Sometimes quotas were a little crazy but I think as long as you show effort and strategy management is willing to work with you.
