Pros

Asus brings some very innovative products and is a key challenger brand

Cons

1) Management - The leaders of the company are anything but leaders who only look out for themselves and their own welfare. The Operations/HR Manager is very unethical and unfair, does not understand compassion and is only Black and White. The Country Manager is contradictory and cannot make decisions 2) Culture - With a very Taiwanese culture, it is often very political and communication is poor. Long processes and managers who only help themselves is the downfall of the company. 3) Responsibility - Managers tend to weasel out of responsibilities and sweep issues under the carpet, they only take real action when it is forced upon them. An example is paying suppliers for work/good supplied. Asus will not pay suppliers until multiple reminders/overdue letters and in extreme circumstances; law suits occur. 4) Offices - the office is very poor and lack any sort of technology, which is ironic for a leading technology company. Computers for staff are usually ex-demo devices loaned out to customers/reviewers and are of at least 2 years old and not always functioning correctly. The office is old, rundown and lack basic facilities such as clean rest rooms or kitchen. 5) Remuneration - Pay is on the low side, borderline illegal rates, with juniors starting on 35k base. Pay is not always on time and the company pays an element of larger quarterly bonuses to attract new employees. This bonus is discretionary and often it is unknown when it will be paid. Expenses (for those that travel or have work related expenses) usually take approx. 2 months to be paid back and if not submitted on time, can get rejected. All flights and accommodation costs needs to be paid by the employee upfront which can be challenging if one does not have a high limit credit card.
