Pros
The head office is such an incredible work environment - easy access to public transit, an office gym thats fully equipped and bootcamp classes at lunch. I love working in the collaborative environment but they also prioritize hybrid work options where available. The teams are founded on positive values and leadership intentionally leads through positivity & encouragement.
Cons
The world is going through tough times, so it's no one's fault that difficult decisions had to be made around unfortunate layoffs. They could have been handled better by offering more visibility to associates instead of surprising them with major restructuring changes without contingency plans & preparations made for seamless project handovers and redistribution of the workload. While the teams are built with the greatest intentions & positive environments, it can create a difficult dynamic to vocalize problems. While a safe space is offered to bring forward grievances - associates feel uneasy being the bearer of complaints. When these complaints are brought to the table, upper management isn't always equipped to make the hard decisions to correct the issues - especially involving low performing senior associates & team leads.
