Pros

Your weekly bonuses from making sales goals. Company contests prizes including cash. Company meetings. Employee discount is 50% off.

Cons

Absolutely zero work life balance. You never get off on time due to all the tasking the company springs on you on top of one person coverage and still maintaining your sales goals. You can't get to every customer when your alone being the seller, the cashier, and running your own shoes which allows plenty of customers to steal your inventory. You have to hold your bowels alot. They don't care how they constantly over work you with low pay. They say they will give raises but really dont. The expectations can be unrealistic when they don't set you up for success because they're tight on payroll. The turn over is never ending which gets you denied of vacations. The DMs threaten to fire you for not making the shoe care goals, they make you work extra, holding workshops with your entire team that you won't get extra payroll for-even if your making your individual goal. The DMs micro manage your every move and constantly bring you down about the shoe care, it's highly stressful and demotivating. You are a robot/number expected to be there 24/7 to make sure you team is making their numbers.

Pros

The company originates from a great value system and has a decent training program (that's if you have the hours to properly train). Easy to move up within the company, great discounts, fun trends, can be face paced and fun. You also meet great people within the company. Visuals. Overall gained skills are beneficial for the future. You learn how to deal with different kinds of people and situations.

Cons

At first Aldo is fun and exciting, but instead of being recognized for hard work and accomplishments; you only hear about your failures. You're given unrealistic expectations from higher management. DM/RMs tend to always think it's possible to have visuals/ marketing 110% perfect, have better sales than last year, train, shipment, orders, sequence changes, etc etc ALL on zero hours or single coverage. When expectations are not fully met, you're verbally talked down to as if you're either incapable or lazy. There is a difference between being a moron and not being able to fully complete the job of 3 others within x amount of hours. Humans are not robotic slaves. Pay within the company is beyond awful. Can't hire quality people because of pay/hours. Expected to train a quality team on zero hours. Bonuses are unheard of due to high goals with less traffic. Expected to have great inventory, but take it out of your own payroll if granted. Quality of life outside of Aldo is not respected. Earned vacation isn't respected and at times have to go through obstacles to have a single day off.

Toxic environment - STAY AWAY!

Pros

Flexibility to work from home 3-4 days a week

Cons

Toxic environment in every department. I worked at Aldo Group for 2.5 years, I don’t know how I lasted such a long time. It’s a toxic environment where everyone talks behind everyone’s back. Management micromanages their employees. I worked from home most of the time I can’t even imagine if I had to work from the office most week days. HR department is a complete mess that protects the directors at all costs so no matter how good the employee is, you will be let go to protect the directors who are simply dreadful to work for. A lot of upper management is hired on a ‘i know you basis’ and not based on qualifications, Once they see that you are more qualified than them at a lower position you will live through a nightmare because they fear for their job. I saw this in all departments and finally quit this horrible environment. STAY AWAY!!!
