Shocking Employer - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Pros

Not much to say apart from the average employees are great to work with and I met some great people.

Cons

Where to start... Middle-management is abysmal - constant gossip and play the blame game with no option of support. You get told off and benefits taken from you if not up to their over worked standards. HR management are involved within the gossip of former and current employees, however, can never be raised to anyone more senior as it is brushed aside. False promises to all apprentices - reluctant to let you progress due to pay. Pay structure is appalling and they underpay their hard working staff - all job titles are way under the average wage for the roles - go elsewhere! Company quarterly bonuses are very small despite breaking records nearly every month with income figures. Internal job offers are decided on favouritism and nepotism - never on skill based terms or qualifications.

Terrible employer - do not recommend!

Pros

Most of the advisers are very understanding of the pressure staff are under and are genuinely lovely people. There are a few good ones in support too but the good ones can't rely on management for support so they end up supporting each other which is often resented as it impacts the time in which they are able to attempt to hit targets.

Cons

No opportunity for development unless you're an immoral sycophant. Very cliquey (which is only contributed to by management). No clear pay structures, often lie to staff (denying things which have been promised) and regularly treated like naughty children for talking. Under staffed (understandably as people get sick of their bs and leave) and overworked. Targets are prioritised over compliance - they have their priorities all wrong!

Pros

Advisers are fair and decent to work with

Cons

Underpaid and overworked staff. I found the management here very clickey and gossip is the norm even with HR. It is an enviroment whereby if you arent a 2.4 kids type of person with a house you will be made to feel excluded. The enviroment in this work place was awful & I am happy to have left. For comparison purposes I have worked for 4+ other IFA firms over my career.
