Pros
Healthcare industry, moderately good customer base, works well if you are based around Bellevue / Seattle, WA area and offers jobs that pay the bills (And - Yes, free Costco snacks, onsite Gym, Summer party etc that Company & CEO brag about often).
Cons
I will be blunt & honest being within the framework / guidelines of Glassdoor review policies, but it may sound bit harsh. CEO - 1. Unethical individual as a person & a professional (I dealt with him directly for nearly the last 2-3 years). Company's bad culture starts from him. 2. Not trustworthy, very deceptive business practice he has been using in many aspects. 3. Doesn't have a vision beyond XEngine, XES, TM - EDI Gateway products that company has for years 4. Plays games with employees in India office - developed a bad reputation in offshore as well as in US offices (several Glassdoor reviews reflect those sentiments) 5. Developed a close team of old timers (Loyal employees who stuck with Edifecs for a long time & during CEO's tough time). They are CEO's best friends and the "spies" on the ground if you will, feeding the CEO with info, many times either biased or false info - bad culture and detrimental to the growth of the company, hard to make progress on anything in this kind of set up 6. These old timer employees get all the promotions and financial prosperity - most of them are from Indian, Ukrainian or Maldivian origin as I noticed Company - 1. If you are based outside of Bellevue, WA Office, pretty much your career takes a hit; you never know what happens in Bellevue office, who works against your interests in the main office. Bad-mouthing, hall way conversation etc. are common in Bellevue office. 2. No work-life balance; family life and relationship may get impacted on the home front. 80-100 hours per week is not uncommon for many. 3. Company is involved in stealing (it may sound bit exaggerated, but it is a fact) Competitors', Customers' and Prospects' intellectual properties without any hesitation; hiring employees from Competitors, Customers and Prospects & then soliciting the presentation decks and other proprietary information is pretty norm & has been a business development strategy in Edifecs (while Edifecs is overly concerned about their own IP getting into the hands of others - Hypocritical) 4. Artificial Glassdoor and other positive media reviews & publicity - Company and CEO pretty much constantly watch what is said on Glassdoor and pump in positive reviews and ratings. It went on for a period of time on and off for the last 2-3 years during my tenure. Employees were openly asked to write positive reviews. 5. A lot of layoffs & firing around bonus payment time to avoid paying promised bonuses and severance money. 6. HR doesn't publish policies deliberately on many of the important areas that employees care about. HR tells different policies at different times to different people based on their needs to their own benefit. 7. Employees are forced to leave at times - average employee turnover time is 6 months to a year. (some have left even before 3 months). 8. I really dislike to bring this one up since it sounds like discrimination based on the race. Very much Indian culture (Ukrainians & Maldivians are the next in majority after Indians). I never felt like I was working in US for a US company. [By the way, I am also an Indian, immigrated to US several years ago like many including CEO - Sunny Singh. So NO prejudice there] Many more....
