Pros

Free parking, modern office, decent pay

Cons

Little to no communication, especially within departments. Decisions are made unilaterally and no feedback is accepted. Constant turnover, especially with non-management employees. Few employees last longer than a year or two, even when performing an excellent job. Teams and departments are continually split up. The future is uncertain for all employees. Awful morale. Company culture is fear-ridden and senior/middle management does little to nothing in helping lower-level employees. It's every person for themself. Fictitious and half-true reporting. Numbers and practices are often only moderately accurate and an outside auditor would have a nightmare on their hands. Nepotism is rampant and is present throughout the entire organization. The longer one stays, the more they realize how deeply nepotism is ingrained in Turning Technologies. This means that certain employees have a higher value than others for no logical reason. The poor practices of these individuals are encouraged or swept under the rug. Slow innovation. Products are typically half-baked and market trends are seemingly ignored.

Pros

No current pros. Company used to be well represented in the market with a product considered to be of value, fairly priced, reliable and easy to use.

Cons

That has all gone by the wayside in favor of new poorly designed, poorly executed, almost impossible for average customer to utilize software designed for no other reason than to pad the pockets of the execs and investors. Customers know this but are being strong armed/forced into the change which has lead to large fall out of users. Of course the blame always comes back to the sales folks who rarely make it past one year because of finger pointing. Most disconnected CEO you could ever encounter and cares little if at all about his company and employees. I have worked for some poorly run companies in my day, but this one takes the cake. Save yourself and don't bother- it isn't even worth the meager paycheck!

A sinking ship

Pros

-Free parking -Decent amount of vacation time -Great coworkers (for the most part) -Holiday party -Headquartered in downtown Youngstown, Ohio -Free coffee

Cons

- First and foremost - management. I would estimate that about 80% of the people there that hold some type of management role (or ridiculous made-up title) are completely not qualified. Don't get me wrong - there are a few really great managers that truly know what they're doing and care about their employees. But, then there are those that are leading departments in which they know absolutely nothing about. -Input from customers and employees is not valued, hence why the software is in decline. What was once an innovative idea is now far behind the times. -Shaming and blaming all around. Rather than take accountability for their own disappointments (e.g., Triton), upper management shames and blames everyone but themselves. -Below average pay - Forget trying to get any type of substantial pay raise, even if you've been with the company for years and perform well at your job. -Benefits are not that great. They are actually really bad. -Communication is non-existent -Micromanaging in many departments, especially sales -No company culture at all -Career advancement? Forget about it!
