Pros

Great team to work with, irrespective of the department you are in. The benefits are decent, and the pay is also reasonable, but that again depends on your reporting manager. The company brand stands you apart, and you can learn a lot here.

Cons

Your situation can depend totally on your department and the person to whom you report. Your pay may not increase significantly over time. And again, it depends on your performance as well as the department that you are part of.

Pros

Work from home and equipment provided. Benefits are good.

Cons

Too many to name. Poor training. 6 or 7 systems to learn. Training short and high expectations for very low pay. Perfection is expected. One mistake in a questionnaire and you will be terminated. Rush Rush Rush to learn then told you didnt meet their expectations. Would not recommend this job or company. Tough interview and extremely expedited training process.

Pros

8 paid sick days 3 weeks paid vacation (increases with senority)

Cons

This job is honestly grueling. There is no work/life balance, you're constantly understaffed and overrun by patients. They are so concerned about wait times due to the MOH and they ask for numbers in order to cheat through your waiting time. The stress is unbelievable. They hire alot of incompetent workers who don't care about their jobs and that don't seem to understand or even acknowledge that you're dealing with someone's life. For example: - I've seen quite a few workers use a discard tube for blood cultures - I've seen people use an SST as a discard for a Sodium Citrate when using a butterfly - Reqs are entered poorly with wrong codes being used every day - Memos are not read, only signed off on - SOPs are not followed - I've heard alot of "who cares", "I don't care", and "I'm not going to do that" - Staff members talk crap about you behind your back whilst in the same room - People despise you for actually caring and doing your job properly and calling them out on their wrong doings The pay at this company is pathetic. When I started after getting honours in my program, my wage was $17.50/hour with no increase. The starting wage has now "increased" to $19.50/hour with only a 2% raise yearly. We only got this increase and retro pay due to fighting Dynacare alongside our union. Dynacare outright refused to match our wages with Lifelabs even though we do the exact same job.
