Stay far away

Pros

They pay medics really well.

Cons

I worked at this "company" (more like a pyramid scheme, think Cutco knives) for 8 months. Here's my advice: Stay far away. If you're a new EMT and they offer you a job here please don't take it, it's a trap. I'm serious, stay away. This company is the laughing stock of LA county and if you decide to work here you will be too. You get no training, no calls that are interesting or challenging, no experience on communications (they dispatch you through an app). The owner, this guy Stan, is just hanging out in New York biding his time until another investor comes along or some potential buyer comes along. The bottom line is that this company is toxic and unless you're a paramedic, just don't even apply. Trust me, you'll regret it.

It’s not uncommon to see competitors leave negative feedback on social forums to dissuade potential employees from considering working with us. That being said, we have hundreds of hard working employees who publicly attest to how Ambulnz has changed their lives and the lives of their families. We encourage anyone interested in potential job opportunities at Ambulnz to see real EMT interview videos here: https://youtu.be/HCYwpdiKWyM and reach out to us directly for position inquiries.

Dishonest and Demanding

Pros

The pay is okay for EMTs

Cons

Dispatch is very unorganized. You have to sit on hold with dispatch most times for 20-30min for a simple question. Dispatch tries to give you calls after your off time and threatens you if you don't take it. Most dispatchers don't understand common medical terms like hypertension, CCT, and hyperglycemia. Management doesn't seem to care to change problems even when it's brought to their attention. EMTs are being rewarded for not doing their job properly. The company has no FTOs therefore there is basically no training required. Overall the company is more interested in money than it is in their employees and patients. And the company has yet to keep a promise they have made.

Not what it seems.

Pros

I cant really think of any.

Cons

They will drastically change your schedule with no notice. They complain about having to pay overtime but tyen bully you into staying 1-3 hrs past your off time. The management team wants nothing to do with the EMT'S. They create overpayed positions to keep us at bay and so they dont have to deal with us directly. If and when you say something about the BS they fire you on the grounds of having an aggressive attitude. The technology is cool when it works but id say its a 50/50 chance if it will work.
