Staffing: most of the time you do not have enough help and are triaging and treating patients back to back with a 4:1 ratio. We are suppose to take a lunch but it’s hard when you have multiple ICU holds and no one to keep a close eye on your patients. Management feedback: never recieved any feedback or criticism on my work. My annual review was almost the exact same as the previous year. I guess no feedback is good. Salary: pay is generally low in Alabama and base pay for nurses is $25/hour. Since Decatur Morgan Hospital is part of the Huntsville Hospital system, they dominate the area and don’t have to negotiate salaries and don’t compete.

Catastrophic management team who constantly spew lies to the staff, upper management, and the public. Mamagement consistently engages in poor and unethical business practices. Staff are encouraged by management to lie in an effort to cover up their poor response times. Wages are insulting.
