Pros

The pros for working for DTV- Free Satellite & DTV Stream Servc., different incentives to make more money, unionized , mid level - work life balance, can move your schedule around if needed too

Cons

Lots of favoritism which could make it hard on upward mobility, recent changes with the company causes a lot of paycheck issues. don't get internet or any type of incentive/reimbursement for working from home fulltime. communication is off between different levels of management. the customers can be really rude & can be emotionally, mentally draining working in a call center environment

Terrible leadership

Pros

- Solid pay in particular for Sr Director and up due to the LTIP - WFH - good benefits such as DIRECTV service free

Cons

- terrible leadership and no idea how they got there. C-suite and SVP levels in particular - terrible favoritism leads to unqualified individuals moving up with ease while skilled talent other firms would actually want are unable to move upwards. Yep the guy with a PhD 3 levels below a college drop out is a hit on credibility. - nonstop reorganizing, shifting business model and of course layoffs - a lot of people in “extended leadership” roles have no experience, skill or knowledge in areas they oversee. Imagine a sales rep leading data analytics, former chiefs of staff overseeing product strategy and project managers everywhere - The ATT model was to find people you like and have them hire a vendor to do the work while they manage (aka push). A lot of the longer tenured employees are accustomed to getting away with not knowing anything and being rewarded for it

Pros

It used to be great company! Good pay, bonuses, culture! Nothing positive anymore!

Cons

Management use you ,and then dispose you! Bonuses are non existent, favoritism is huge part of the center! Lay off's! Payroll issues! Managers have full loads and aren't available! It has been great for many years, but it was time to leave this sinking ship! Good luck to everyone!

Pros

Free dtv. While it lasts.... non marketing departments are pretty good.

Cons

Everything was bad. The leadership was clueless and the marketing strategy and operations team has no good leadership. The strategy is full of holes and the Directors create a toxic environment of finger pointing and favoritism. The marketing ops team has a toxic team and should avoid at all costs.v

Pros

Great colleagues, good pay, flexible work schedules.

Cons

Favoritism on full display. People who have no business being in leadership but are because they are someone's pet. Constantly shifting priorities and missed opportunities. Sinking ship. Not sure why anyone would want to hire on here.

Pros

Good benefits and perks , work life balance

Cons

Often layoffs and budget cuts, too many hierarchies and doesn’t value employees’ performance, effectiveness and dedication. Many middle managers. So basically those middle managers with 0 to too little contributions will likely be safe and hardworking employees will be cut off. Too much favoritism and bias by managers but upper management and HR will ignore when employees reported

Pros

Benefits are okay, Pay is average

Cons

No one is on the same page as far as management. No straight forward answers to questions asked about the business just clowns putting on a show. You’re just a number and your time and efforts are overlooked and not considered. No room for advancement. You’re capped off at a certain pay depending on union contract so your income does not match your hard work and tenure. You could pass away and they won’t show much appreciation for you or let anyone in the company know unless you’re a manager. Everything is done based on the business needs with no exceptions. Management is solely focused on how big of a bonus you can make them and doesn’t care about your well being. Very unskilled managers. Customers are the worst and many are racist and disrespectful but you are told to endure it until you can get a manager to take the call which is unlikely. System issues are daily and cause many issues for customer accounts and cause issues with meeting metrics that really are unnecessary with the type of customers they have. DirecTV is greedy and pretends to care about their employees. If you are a good agent you will be asked to do extra work that they don’t plan to pay you for and won’t offer an incentive for. There’s no room for advancement and they want you to push products and services that are extremely overpriced. Somehow customers info gets leaked and scammers constantly scam elderly customers because the scammers have access to the customers info on the account and can easily pose as a DirecTV agent. Unrealistic KPI’s. Favoritism is a big thing because there’s no way half of the managers were qualified for their position based on experience or skill. Very stressful job. Not worth the headache. There are better opportunities included WFH opportunities that will trump the DirecTV experience. Please save yourself the disappointment.
