Pros

Fox Restaurant Concepts is a reputable company, so the restaurant is typically full, and the money is pretty consistent, especially during season.

Cons

Side work is insane, you typically have about 2-3 hours of it after you have been cut (not sure how other culinary dropouts are but I have worked at 3 different fox restaurants and they were all like this) They care about the guest so much which can be good, but they do it to a fault where it is so obvious they care about them more than their employees. Also, a party of 20 wants 20 separate tabs? Gotta do it (no auto grat either) They will do just about anything for their guests, the guests get used to it and just start treating you like crap. Management is ok, they clearly have favorites and don't try to hide it.

Pros

High energy, never boring, fun people, good food, decent benefits, learning opportunities, LGBTQ friendly, management speaks Spanish

Cons

Overworked, underpaid, understaffed, no work life balance, poor communication from management, everyone is dead inside after a week, literally only two black employees in the whole building, only one woman in any kind of management position

Pros

- $40-$100 in tips if you are not a favorite (therefore not put in good sections) - $200-$400 in tips if you are a favorite

Cons

- high level of drama & gossip - the running joke with staff and managers is that they all do "coke" to stay in the business - high favoritism with sections - no trust from leadership towards staff. expect to be micro-managed and be seen as guilty in every situation until proven innocent. - expect to get dirty looks if you take the time for a beverage / snack in the back - if customers harass you, don't expect leadership to have your back. example: a gay coworker was called a derogatory insult multiple times and management made no effort to ask them to leave.
