Pros

Great people, great product. Good work life balance. Free snacks.

Cons

Lots of cons unfortunately. Management does not listen. They are looking for answers elsewhere, ignoring everything in front of them. The quality of the product has took a huge hit in the last year or so. R&D leadership is in lala land and investing energy into offshoring and the Los Gatos location. Great talent has left the company and there was no attempt to retain them. The culture is a mess. About 3 years ago, Cradlepoint was voted best place to work and they felt like they should do anything to maintain the culture. Teams are siloed and the climate is toxic because the lack of communication makes it where co-workers are rarely on the same page. The company used to have great potential and an attractive culture. It went down the drain a couple of years ago. They scrambled at first trying to fix things by re-organizing R&D, but lately they just gave up. They are oblivious to how damaged the reputation of the organization has declined. The CEO used to care, but he is seeing the damage and doing nothing. People who come here and put a 5 star review are part of the problem. There is no great company that has people quitting regularly.

Pros

There are some great people who work here who care about their jobs and the work they do. The benefits are OK, and there are some good perks like company wellness days and no-meeting Fridays.

Cons

Since Ericsson acquired Cradlepoint and especially since George stepped down as CEO the culture, perks, and morale have tanked. The new leader is cold and ruthless. I wanted to get behind a woman leader, but she's out of touch to the company. Despite people's hard work, the company isn't paying bonuses because the joke of a CSO and other leaders set unrealistic business targets. Even though the company made profits over the last year. So you'll work your butt off for the company to meet unrealistic targets, and you won't be rewarded for it. Salaries are below market and as a current employee it's hard to find motivation to work hard knowing that your hard work won't be rewarded anyway.

Pros

There are literally no pros to working there. You have so many options that the abuse is simply not worth the pain. There are no rewards. Read on...

Cons

This was beyond a horrific experience. The culture is bred and was founded in 2006 based toxicity. The CEO and staff have gone out of their way to do nothing about it. The C-Suite is weak, complicit and corrupt. The C-suite only hire their top level friends and cronies. In particular look at the CPO and the chain down engineering. It's incestuous. The engineering staff simply lack talent. There is no invention there, They have poor pay and some of the worst benefits in Idaho - and that's not saying much. It's Idaho! The engineering is terrible. There is no invention. You think it's a technology company embracing 5G - and it's not. The hardware is off the shelf commodity hardware. Most of the engineers simply push config files to the cloud. You probably can lay off roughly 50% of them -and no one would notice.. The cloud SaaS front end will most likely move to India - by design. They take advantage of people simply because they are based in Boise. The workplace is hostile, opinionated, and coercive. Projects and company direction is shoot from the hip without an overall strategy. They circle around company strategies over and over again without direction or vision. Finally it’s a fantastic place to get an experience of how a poorly managed and desperate company operates as you move on in your career. You will use your experience here as testament of how to never run a company. I can't believe Ericsson paid what they did. But again, they are great at marketing. You would think this is disgruntled former employee talking here.. It's not, It's someone who has seen the best and worst of organizations over 40 years. Cradlepoint is by far the worst.
