Great practical learning but high micromanagement and pressure
Pros
The biggest positive for me was the practical learning. I worked directly with AI‑generated content, fraud detection, scam patterns, and impersonation cases, which gave me a very clear understanding of how large platforms handle risk and policy enforcement. Another strong point is the team environment. People are friendly, supportive, and willing to help, which makes a big difference on stressful days. I also think Covalen can be a good stepping stone for anyone trying to enter the tech sector, especially in analytical or Trust & Safety roles.
Cons
The main downside is the micromanagement. There is strict control over breaks, logins, and workflow, which can feel excessive and draining. The salary is also on the lower end compared to similar roles in other vendors, especially considering the level of responsibility. Another issue is the lack of stability. There are frequent changes, restructuring, and uncertainty, which can create a stressful environment. Finally, the workload and pressure can be intense, especially when metrics are tight and expectations shift quickly.
