Pros
Before Trader gutted and sterilized the company, the culture was pretty good. There was a real sense of camaraderie among Convertus employees.
Cons
Work for this company if you want but do not trust Trader managers and HR, regardless of how friendly and caring they may present themselves on the surface. It's superficial. Their only priority is to protect Trader's bottom line. You can read from other reviews about how Trader has handled the acquisition and restructuring of Convertus. What I can add to that is a sense of general dismay at how cold and calculated the process has been. Convertus staff were given a false sense of security. Staff were reassured about their future and job-security with the company, while Trader was obviously planning to terminate their permanent contracts once a specific project was delivered. The loyalty and commitment of many staff who stayed with the company to deliver the project was disregarded. It's apparent now that Trader were planning the redundancies for some time and were merely giving the illusion of security to protect themselves. It's distressing in hindsight to realize that the reassurances given by Trader management at Convertus 'Town Hall' AMAs were straight-up lies, told at a point that they were actively planning huge layoffs. Trader HR are soulless, emotionless, tactless. Witnessing how they deal with staff is distressing. You're nothing but a number to them, don't be foolish enough to think otherwise.
