Pros

If you are in a desperate need for a job and its your last resort

Cons

No room for advancement unless you are buddies with the person making the decision. Company is in deep financial problems. No raises or 401K match for the past 3 years. Every year there are lay-off. Most Managers do not know what they are doing yet still exists. Open positions are usually not posted so they can bring their buddies in.

Pros

Frequent turnover means new coworkers' names to learn each year. The general lack of accountability allows slackers to stick around for years without doing any work or growing their skills so plenty of work for the workaholics to do

Cons

2 weeks vacation standard until 5 years at the company. Aging workforce causes insurance expenses for everyone. Large middle management structure that does little managing or decision making. Upper management stretched too thin for such a small company. Software is all custom development per customer, multiple branches of major versions in development.

Pros

Concurrent has some really good people. The product offering is strong. Large domestic customer base and expanding international potential.

Cons

Leadership commoditizes workers. No raise without promotion, so very top heavy organization. This creates a short staffed working class, so expect to work more than 40 hours on average with no reward unless you are connected. HR prides themselves on "worst in class" benefits which doesn't attract top level talent or maintain existing employees. Since this is critical in a small/medium sized company, Concurrent is destined for meritocracy at best.
