      Nice people and company culture, fun projects

      Pros

      The company focuses on OTT video streaming which is a fastly growing market. Very engineering oriented company, many engineers have been there for over 30 years. Very good engineering team, very smart and nice team mates. Though relatively small in size, this company is very deep into technology, owns its own flavor of Linux, file system, video streaming server, caching solution.

      Cons

      Need to hire more software engineers and QAs. Need better office space, Duluth headquarter is too old. Benefits can be better.

      Pros

      Frequent turnover means new coworkers' names to learn each year. The general lack of accountability allows slackers to stick around for years without doing any work or growing their skills so plenty of work for the workaholics to do

      Cons

      2 weeks vacation standard until 5 years at the company. Aging workforce causes insurance expenses for everyone. Large middle management structure that does little managing or decision making. Upper management stretched too thin for such a small company. Software is all custom development per customer, multiple branches of major versions in development.
