People might be too nice and deferential. Things move slower than you'd expect at a 40 person company. There is a ton of tech debt and alignment can be super slow. We also seem to unite around a bit idea, try it out, then scatter to something else when it doesn't seem like it worked. Something will happen and everyone will react rather than staying the course. As a result, it never felt like this company was going anywhere, despite the strong desire to build a great customer first product. Definitely a place where execution greatly lags ideals. Also, as previous reviewers have noted, there are a lot of knee jerk decisions that get made, particularly with people and those aren't always handled well or professionally.
