Pros

Very talented technical team and parts of the core products / Salesforce apps are very strong.

Cons

Obvious disconnects about company vision and goals across exec management team. No cohesive sales and marketing strategy for global expansion. Poor / zero company culture outside Europe HQ offices. Doesn't eat its own dog food / use its own products in-house. No regard for post-employment relationship with laid-off employees --- their definition of 'severance consideration' is 'zero'.

CloudSense Response

CloudSense values the feedback of all employees, both current and former. When someone does not feel that they have benefited from their time in any business in the ways that they had hoped, then there are always topics that benefit from further discussion and reflection. Under the 'pros' section, I am pleased that this former employee chose to highlight that they had developed skills and certifications. CloudSense invests in its people, ensuring they have the skills to deliver customer success. Everyone wins when staff are given the chance to learn and certify. The first 'con' raised by this employee relates to line management. Whilst line management exists, is taken seriously and done professionally, like all firms that offer professional services, CloudSense runs a matrix approach as well. This is based on a well developed skills framework, linked to behaviours, industries and competencies. This allows us to differentiate as a business but importantly it also gives our staff access to a range of leaders in different fields as well as a guiding path to develop as rounded professionals. CloudSense explains this through its interview process and selects on the basis of the framework. Like any company, occasionally people get through a selection process but do not have a profile that fits a business in the long run, which is clearly a shame, however being able to pin point strengths and gaps against a clear career path is a strong way of ensuring that constructive feedback is given along the way. Generally, CloudSense has a good track record of finding and retaining talent and in making good hiring decisions. By investing in our people, providing a strong work and social environment and by giving them good career opportunities, we are pleased to be able to retain them. We value our people; it is what brings everyone to work every day. This is evidenced by being listed in "The Times Best 100 Companies to work for" in 2013. This is a well renowned UK report commissioned by a leading daily news paper. Our staff provided an assessment of the business in a national survey that led to this great result. We are proud of what our staff have said and about this result. You can read more at our website. In terms of business progress since the former employee made their post and our outlook for the future; CloudSense has been fairing well. We recently opened in the US, we are now one of very few Salesforce dot com Platinum partners in the UK region, we have customers in 26 countries and have continued to achieve very strong year on year growth. I am very optimistic about the future for CloudSense, it is an exciting time for the company as we help our customers with their journey to Digital and long term success. Having a thriving employee community is central to the CloudSense vision of success and we will continue to listen to all feedback and take all points of view very seriously, so that we can learn and progress.

Pros

- Amazing culture and people. This is as good as they come. - Interesting stuff to work. - Culturally diverse team. - Work life balance is Gold! In all my time in cloudsense, no one has pinged me outside of office hours or not asked me why I haven't replied to my mail when I'm out of office. - Everyone will help you when you need it. - Some of the brilliant engineers i have seen in my career. If you are a fresher or mid developer, you will surely go to next level technically.

Cons

Below is only for Cloudsense, India: - HR team's communication could be better. Most of the stuff only gets notified when you reach them for clarification. - some policy stuff get changed now and then without consent from us and then you only realise it when you go check it out for something. - Few things like notice period, Total leaves etc are on par with local service companies and not product companies.
