Civ Robotics has an employee rating of 3.6 out of 5 stars, based on 21 company reviews on Glassdoor which indicates that most employees have a good working experience there.
Absolutely nothing! Just the worst ever. If I could rate it ZERO, I would have.
Cons
- The CEO and COO are the cheapest people on this planet. They make their employees drive across the country with the robot in the back of their SUV.
(I was asked to drive back to the office while I had COVID and the COO said take an advil and drive you’ll be fine)
- Zero empathy and concern for employees
- The robots have so many issues and you get yelled at if it doesn’t work properly. They lie to the customer about their robot performance and then criticize employees for not delivering on it.

Thank you for taking the time to share this. Operating during COVID created unusual constraints for both employees and the company, and we did our best to balance safety, legal restrictions, and business needs. Travel decisions at that time were shaped by state and federal guidelines, which restricted air travel for individuals who had recently tested positive.
In this situation, we covered hotel accommodations so the employee could rest and recover without traveling while sick. Once they were feeling better, but still unable to fly due to regulations, driving was the only available option.
Since then, we’ve established clearer travel policies and field-support resources to avoid confusion in exceptional circumstances like this.
Technology is very interesting. The coworkers are great both in US and in Israel and the company has great market potential.
Cons
Very toxic CEO. His unbearable attitude and lack of social skills trickle down to every worker. This makes working at Civ very stressful. Also both founders lack any experience and it is evident in the lack of decision making for the company's future.

Thank you for your feedback. We don’t agree with the label used, but we recognize leadership dynamics influence how people feel at work. Over the past year, we’ve added clearer communication rhythms, refined decision-making responsibilities, and implemented feedback channels to support a healthier working environment.
They talked a big game during hiring but delivered none of it in reality. I was expected to lead field operations without proper equipment, without a safety protocol, and without realistic timelines. When issues inevitably arose, I was blamed for problems caused by leadership's negligence. It was an exhausting and demoralizing environment where ambition crashed into dysfunction.

Thank you for sharing this feedback. The role mentioned required initiative, ownership and the ability to navigate a growing start-up company, while making necessary pivots.
The lack of tools and clarity you mentioned is something we’ve taken seriously. We’ve since invested in equipment, documentation, onboarding, and field-support infrastructure to make sure employees have the resources they need to succeed.
