Pros

Good colleagues, nice area but other than that not much more.

Cons

The business lacks any real structure or defined processes, which results in inconsistency, inefficiency, and confusion across teams. It is increasingly operating like a call centre, without the necessary management support, procedural framework, or strategic oversight required to sustain performance or staff wellbeing. Employees are underpaid for the level of work expected, with no formal pay review process or clear path for progression. Earning potential is limited, yet targets are continually raised without providing the tools, support, or infrastructure to achieve them. Internally, there’s no standardisation in sales etiquette or client handling, leading to inconsistency and disjointed service delivery. Meanwhile, internal messaging is overly focused on business success and ambitious growth targets—particularly the push for "double-digit" growth: while failing to acknowledge or invest in the wellbeing of the people expected to deliver those results. There’s a growing disconnect between leadership ambition and frontline reality, which is contributing to low morale, high frustration, and a sense that staff are undervalued.

Pros

Base pay and hybrid or remote

Cons

Honestly, the amount of people who get fired or just decide to leave is insane. I joined back in 2024, and ever since then it’s been nothing but constant turnover. Every time you start to get used to someone, they’re suddenly gone, and it feels like the cycle just never ends. It makes the whole place feel so unstable, like you never really know who’s going to stick around. What makes it worse is how much we were promised at the beginning compared to the reality. So many of the things they said during the hiring process turned out to be complete lies or at least very misleading. You come in thinking you’re walking into one situation, but the truth hits completely differently once you’re actually here. And don’t even get me started on the targets. While you’re in probation, things feel tough but manageable — just enough to make you think you can succeed. But once you pass probation, the expectations become totally unrealistic. It’s like they set people up to fail on purpose. No matter how hard you work, it never seems to be enough, and that kind of pressure is exhausting. Honestly, it’s draining to feel like you’re constantly giving so much, only to watch people leave one after another and to be told your best effort still isn’t good enough. It makes you wonder how they expect anyone to last here long-term

I’m absolutely gutted to read messages like this and really want to understand more. From what we’re seeing, this doesn’t seem to reflect a wider feeling across the company but may be more localised — and that’s something I want to listen to and help resolve. As these reviews are anonymous, I would really like to hear more context and specifics so if you’re open to it, can you please get in touch at engagement@citation.co.uk so we can have a chat and see how we can make things better. I genuinely want to hear your perspective and understand what’s behind this feedback. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon. Pros

Nice people and remote while not expected to work outside of hours

Cons

A lot of misleading from the recruiters and earning capability, very closed door culture. People will disappear but they'll keep them on the leagues to pretend they still work there. There is a lot of misleading information from the recruiters, and the earning potential seems unclear. The culture feels very closed-door, almost unwelcoming. People tend to disappear, yet they keep them on the lists to pretend they're still working there. The role itself is quite mind numbing and repetitive, unlike other positions I've had, when i mentioned this to my manager she said this is normal for the job and if i don't like it i should look else where. The data provided is usually called by several other people at the same time, with no real explanation as to why. There's no marketing engagement or anything similar, which makes it all feel so disconnected.

I can see that you are a current colleague, can I ask that you please reach out to your HR Business partner to discuss this in more detail as a lot of what you have said is not my understanding of how the role is in practice. Michelle – People Director
