Pros

unlimited pto ; great people

Cons

The CEO, Cali Tran, is awful and destroying the company. If you do your research on him, he has a history of such. He is super out of touch, fake, and greedy. He invests in everything but his employees. He announces partnships every month, invested in opening new offices, and more. He is likely forcing everyone back into office after all of working remotely for 3 years. Probably his way of doing quiet layoffs because he knows people will leave. Also, no raises or anything to increase pay for years. Also, the job roles we signed for are changing to what we didn’t sign for, which seems illegal to me. He needs to step down or get fired if that’s possible. I hope he reads these reviews and realizes he’s what’s wrong with the corporate world. Before Cali, everything was fine.

Pros

The actual job itself might be fun if you have clients in fields of interest.

Cons

If there is one word that could describe the work environment at Cision, it would be "toxic." A constant atmosphere of fear and anxiety hangs in the air, as employees are constantly overworked without any support from management. The lack of transparency and open communication fosters an environment where mistrust flourishes, undermining any sense of teamwork or collaboration. Meritocracy is the rule of law as most employees are underpaid and have an attitude of indifference for their jobs. Promotions and advancements are reserved for those who are the loudest in the room. Witnessing a continuous pattern of unqualified individuals leapfrog over dedicated colleagues exhibits the nepotism that underscores Cision's promotion culture. Leadership at Cision is a textbook example of how not to manage an organization. Upper management pretends to want to hear opinions from individual contributors but you'll be treated poorly if you give any sort of negative feedback. Decisions are made without any consideration for the consequences they might have on the workforce or the company's long-term prospects. The disconnect between management and employees has created a chasm that seems insurmountable. Cision a pitiful reflection of tech company masquerading as a "leader" in its field. Most employees are detached due to pay that is consistently far below industry standards. The company's obsession with cutting costs seems to have blinded them to the fact that fair compensation is essential to attracting and retaining competent professionals. My time within this organization has been nothing short of a nightmare, marked by an unrelenting cycle of frustration, disappointment, and despair.

Pros

Great coworkers, global scale, work has an impact

Cons

Frequent layoffs, sneaky C-suite leadership, every employee is just a dollar sign to their bottom line. They will let whole teams go to make their bottom line and then ask everyone left to pick up the slack in addition to their regular work. Their number one goal is to appear profitable, but they have created skeleton teams that won't be able to operationally maintain the company. Certainly, no innovation is possible with skeleton teams and old tech. They are all too happy to let their original American employees feel pressure to leave so cheaper counterparts in Europe can replace them.
