Pros

Working with nonprofit partners that are really making a difference. Connecting with interesting celebrities and brands Dog friendly office

Cons

Since becoming acquired the company feels more directionless than ever. Policies and guidelines are constantly changing and our charity partners are no longer getting great service. The new owner doesn't seem to value anyone without a C-Suite title and has never made an effort to connect with the bulk of his employees. He’s constantly changing direction which results in confusion and lost time. Most of the hires that have come on board since he took over seem generally incompetent. Perhaps the best example of this is Jan Friedlander Svendsen. Jan is tasked with running marketing across all platforms and somehow she’s gotten approval to hire a ton of people under her, but she doesn’t seem to have an understanding of how the company works. She’s generally pretty terrible to work with and her only strength as far as anyone can see is her personal relationship with Lin Manuel Miranda.

Faux-charitable attitude is the downfall

Pros

Many employees are nice, fun people who get along with one another There's at least a sense of doing good for the world

Cons

Upper management, particularly the CEO, don't actually care about raising money for charity. Their sole purpose for the company is to earn as much as they can, which is fine since the company is for-profit, but the bull they spew about "doing good" is fake. They do not care about employee happiness or overall morale, and people who have been with the company for many years but are bad at their jobs still manage to get promotions. Executives take credit for everyone else's work and don't recognize and employee contributions. The pay is low and there are zero company perks. It's an extremely unhappy place because no one enjoys the environment that Todd Wagner has created.
