Pros

The people who work on the floor are genuinely great people. There is a thriving culture of close employees that know eachother very well. They have known each other for a long time and this group will make themselves known immediately. They are very open and welcoming and sweet. The company is rife with short falls and for a developer there are many opportunities to learn new systems and solve new problems.

Cons

Management. The company is led by a group of executives that have known eachother for a long time and bring in people from their network to fill roles as they try to expand. There is a distinct "in group" and "out group" of people that are considered part of the executive suite. Executives rarely make time for people on their teams and there is no tangible method for reviewing good or bad employees. They harbor a toxic work environment that overworks the few and does not hold malicious managers accountable. In stark contrast to the group of people that work the floor, management is very judgemental and structured as a "Boys Club." Alcoholism is encouraged and those who don't partake are shunned. With no method to review employees, management regularly makes empty promises for raises or promotions that they overlook or ignore. Many people on the floor have complained about having a growth opportunity taken from them or delayed for the sake of management's incompetence.
