Pros

Bonus is excellent on a performing financial year. Excellent teamwork within your unit (varies across teams)

Cons

Bureaucratic and political environment Traditional and hierarchical culture Changes across the group are slow (hectic hours make it seems fast paced but things in fact move very slowly) Lots of face-to-face meetings Poor work-life balance (depends on department) Trainings are available but always cancelled/ postponed

Pros

Can't think of any, the whole structure of the program is horrible.

Cons

Don't waste your time, avoid this program and just find other jobs or other graduate programs. Trust me. I've made the biggest mistake joining this program and it's too late to turn back. We can't even quit because we're "bonded" to the program or else we have to pay RM**k, which is ridiculous. No other graduate programs have such conditions. Maybe they know that people would quit the program halfway after realizing how terrible it is, hence why they impose the condition. They don't even give us bonuses or increments. In other companies, after 2 years you might already be promoted to senior. But not if you join TCB. 2 years, no job promotion, no bonuses, no increment, not allowed to resign. Seriously, it's not worth it. And don't get me started on the HR. They're toxic, always threatening us that they will kick us out, and not helpful at all. They're rude to us, very disrespectful and treat us all in a very unprofessional manner. When we try asking them just a simple question to get clarification, either they ignore us completely or tell us that they shouldn't have hired us in the first place. JUST FOR ASKING ONE SIMPLE QUESTION!!! Seriously, the HR overseeing the TCBs are very unprofessional, never meeting deadlines and always leaving us in the dark. They don't keep us updated on what's going on, and we are neglected as if we're not worth it. You don't even get to choose your rotations. They can place you somewhere that doesn't even need extra resources, and you will end up rotting in boredom for the whole 3 months there. Such a waste of time. They also put you in places that don't even align with your career goals. For your placement, DO NOT BELIEVE when they say that you get to choose the department that you like. There's a catch. They won't tell you if there's no headcount, so you will end up being kicked out in the end, or having to go to departments that you didn't even want in the first place. Please please please just avoid this program. It's really not worth it and you're just gonna waste your 2 years being here. Go somewhere else and develop your skills somewhere else. If I could turn back time, I wouldn't even accept this job offer if I knew how terrible it is.

Pros

I COULD NOT FOUND ANY PROS BUT I CANT LEAVE IT EMPTY

Cons

-bad culture -rude bosses which shouting & scolding staff in public (yes, PUBLIC- banking hall during banking hour ) - bossess are the one who often creates dramas and politcs - they like to threaten & curse the staff (eg : dont think after u resign u'll be fine, i will make sure u cant survive in the banking industry (LOL!) - long working hours, no work life balance -force you to attend "punishment session" when u are unable to achieve certain products target by the bosses ( even though youre not bad performer & pass ur KPI) -bossess likes to gossip & reveal one's privacy - u have to be ready to reply your boss's msg or calls even after 9pm or weekends MORE.... i don't feel like continue because there are uncountable cons which i cant literally type out all here & i feel disgusted when i recall my working period in cimb.
