Your career can get killed there because you are overloaded with too much work and u are not being given a breeding space to upgrade yourself and to read up and embrace modern technologies. They give you work to do without adequate information and full description and yet, they expect you to perform magic and produce the work. They give you unrealistic targets. You are being given a two weeks work to finish in one week. As a result of this, you will have to spend extra hours at work and even work at night at home. There is no proper documentation of their softwares. And as a result of this, new developers struggle to fit into their development team. There is management problem. The management don't have a good working relationship with its employees. There is high competition between the employees to please the management. When you think you know much, others can set you up. People resign frequently due to bad working relationship with the management. The pay is too poor, yet the volume of work is very high. Employees frequently spend extra hours at work. They don't pay for extra hours spent at work and they most times make their employees work on weekends. Frequent Violations of Contract agreements. They don't allow an employee go for leave even though leave is in the contract agreement. You can be called back to the office even at 8pm in the night if they need you to do something in the office which is a violation of the contract agreement of working from 8am-5pm. Byteworks are frequently loosing their best programmers frequently to other Software Companies because of frequent violations of contract agreements.
