Exceptionally Toxic Work Environment

Pros

Nothing I can think of.

Cons

Exceptionally toxic work environment. Instead of having real leadership one can aspire and look up to, senior management believes in intimidation, control, bullying and manipulation of its employees to get things done. One day you are made to feel like you are doing the best job and the very next you are the worst employee they have. Blame, shame and guilt are the weapons of choice. They are often employed. Very unmotivating as a result. Criticism is not done constructively and collaboration between teams is exceptionally difficult due to bitterness and resentment between various senior members of staff from long standing grudges and a childish preoccupation with power and status. Greed and arrogance fuels its CEO. Stay as far away as possible. Be warned. Be wise.

Cons

There are some truly incredible people working at Buddi — passionate, kind, and dedicated. I’ve made lifelong friends here, and for that, I’m grateful. But unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. Management at Buddi plays blatant favorites, especially with those on the morning shift. These individuals are allowed to do as they please with no accountability. They put in minimal effort, pass off their work to others, and then throw tantrums or cause scenes if they’re held to the same expectations. It’s incredibly frustrating to watch hard-working staff pick up the slack while those favored few face no consequences. What’s worse is the culture of two-faced behavior. Some staff will smile to your face and act friendly, only to speak horrifically behind your back. This toxic dynamic has started to rub off on new employees, who quickly learn that drama and deceit are more accepted than professionalism. Meanwhile, Buddi Management is quick to reprimand you for the most minor infractions — things that don’t impact your work or the team — yet when serious issues arise, like verbal abuse, the mishandling of sensitive information, or even homophobic remarks, they are ignored or brushed aside. It sends a clear message: they care more about appearances and maintaining power than the well-being of their staff. There are still great people trying to do their best, but you can see the burnout and loss of morale growing. Without real leadership and accountability from Buddi, they risk losing the very people who make it worth being there in the first place.
