Pros
There isn't a great deal of pros to talk about, the location is a nice location and the HR and office staff are pleasant to deal with.
Cons
The company is run by apprentices, meaning the more apprentices the company has, the more money they get from the Government. This results in the company hiring masses of incompetent apprentices because the company has a reputation of hiring any apprentice meaning most people just see it as a free job for one year. The training you receive is substandard, there are a few trainers who are pleasant to work with however you can learn more from a book in 3 months than you could from a trainer in 1 year. Communication among staff is awful, the only way to get absolutely anything done is to nag which even then has its consequences. The company also seems to be built on a stack of lies and false promises, decisions are never final. For example, at the end of the level 3 contract, they stated that apprentices would either be able to complete a 2 year level 4 contract, complete a 1 year employment contract, or go to university part time. Only one of these options was available at the end because it was the option they received funding for. In addition to all of this, the company doesn't recognise talent at a fundamental level. The trainers know who's good at programming, but their opinion doesn't matter in the bigger picture, because its HR who call the shots and fire people. The wage is a complete joke, how can you expect anyone to sustain themselves on £115 a week. Apprentices were promised a performance based bonus at the end of the year, but never received it and it doesn't look like anyone is receiving it at all. It's been a waste of a year working at this company.
