Pros
Boost was a very fun and interesting place to work. As a microbiology nerd, it was amazing to work somewhere that was trying to use cool microbiology stuff to help the planet. It was definitely a startup vibe, but in the best sense of that concept. It meant that everyone was extremely intelligent and motivated, and I'd happily work with any of my former coworkers again.
Cons
Ecology-focused orgs often get short shrift when VC funding dries up, but that doesn't say anything about the value of the work or the quality of the science.
