      Everything is great. The best thing about working at BookingTimes is that you are treated as a human not as a cog in a machine.

      The office is in Invercargill and the weather down there is not nice!

      Aging codebase and self-obsessed manager

      Might be one of the few IT employment opportunities down south in invercargill

      Cons

      Unrealistic deadlines, with antique code that badly needs refactoring. Realistically the software needs a complete rewrite to keep it relevant on the market. The manager is oblivious to this as it is his magnum optus. This leads to disagreements and code-reviews that nothing happens from. I would think this company has around another 2 or 3 years left before it slowly dies off.

      Magnum opus... a term used when hundreds of thousands of people have used a system that you have built and churn is based on people retiring - not to mention the awesome bunch of people that we get to work with. We received your equipment back in mint condition. The monitor still had the energy rating stickers stuck on it.

      None I can think of.

      Cons

      A small business run from Adam Clinckett's own property, in Invercargill. The other 5-star review on glassdoor is most likely from Adam, done as part of his own marketing. He regards staff as expendable and does not provide any support towards career progression. Gaslighting is the main company ethos and mission statement for BookingTimes. Avoid like the plague.

      An international business that is run with it's primary software development center in Invercargill. Located on 2.5 acres, regular visits from the coffee van and monthly lunches, BookingTimes is great place to work and filled with smart people.
