Pros

The engineering and product teams are great - smart, capable, and genuinely passionate about the company’s mission. Leadership within these teams is strong and focused, and the company recently closed a Series A funding round, demonstrating its growth potential.

Cons

The CEO’s lack of leadership has become a significant challenge. While he may perceive himself as respected, there is a clear disconnect between that perception and how he is experienced internally. His involvement often causes confusion, slows progress, and negatively impacts morale. He can come across as dismissive and unprofessional. For example, in a recent all-hands meeting, the CEO made a comment toward the team that was seen as inappropriate and demotivating - especially with an investor present. These kinds of interactions undermine confidence and affect team motivation.

Pros

Incredibly talented engineering, design and PM team. They have great intermal TA who sell the story well. Blinq had the ingredients to be the next rocketship.

Cons

I recently left Blinq after seeing enough to know this place is rotten at the core. This is a classic case of a founder who should never be running a company. The CEO treats employees with open contempt and zero empathy. Loyalty is non-existent; you’re completely expendable no matter how much value you bring. The culture is pure fear. There’s no leadership, no values, and no actual company culture beyond “ship more code and hope our competitors die.” Jared’s only metric for success is output and destroying competition. Leadership development, work-life balance, and basic human decency aren’t even on his radar. The engineering leadership turnover tells you everything - they're looking for their third Head of Engineering in a year. The last one lasted six weeks. Head of Product - gone, Head of Design - gone, Head of Marketing - gone, all engineering leadership - gone, original OG devs are going. This isn’t a company, it’s a pressure cooker with equity as the only carrot while they burn people out. VC backing from big names like BlackRock and Square Peg hasn’t improved anything — if anything it seems to have fed the ego. If you’re considering joining, don’t. Your mental health and career will thank you for staying far away.

Pros

The people you work with (the actual doers) are genuinely smart people who want to do good work.

Cons

Where do you even begin? Agree with other statements made here about inept leadership. You have a CEO & Founder who still thinks he is the only one that works for the business. They lure in great talent, only for them to go to waste because the founder doesn't trust anyone else to do a good job but himself and when the product suffers, he'll blame you. Do you like work life balance? Well forget about it when the CEO will message you at all hours of the night, expecting responses and work after hours. They are also aiming to send people to the office 4 days a week because yep, you guessed it, they don't trust their employees. If only the investors really knew what a farce this place was, I'm sure they'd be rethinking their choices.
