Pros

Majority of people are fantastic, the company is well structured without being top heavy. The majority of people want to do more, push themselves and do good for this family run business. The CEO is well liked, respected and offers a sentiment of 'You work with me, not for me'.

Cons

It is people that make any good company. Unfortunately, Blade Group have not yet learnt this core value and have lost and continue to lose loyal members a huge rate. Blade have this customer ethos, 'Blade gives you more'. - this does not apply to members of staff. Hours are long, contract is depressingly negative, holidays are absolute minimum with no option to earn/buy/sell/carry over. Pension is minimal, Overtime (payments!) discouraged. From the employees point of view, the message is clear: work hard, but we won't dare reward you for it. For a company of this size, it needs to do so much more for the teams who make the group what it is today. If Blade continue to offer a negative working culture with zero prospects, zero career development or zero reward system, then the company will not make it. The company has been up for sale for sometime and have brought in staff to 'tidy up the accounts'. Rumors are that Blade is about to be sold, this naturally does not make it a nice company to work for. - Tell your staff what is happening because you have some members of the team who think they know it all.
