Poor salary and poor treatment of tutors

Some friendly colleagues and great students. The training can be good but this is very inconsistent between classes.

Cons

The management are really toxic at all levels. ABA supervisor in a certain class bullying certain tutors. You are expected to be a robot most of the time and not show your true feelings. Toxic positivity extremely common here. You get paid terribly, I started on £15000 per year for a full time job, and if you didn’t go out drinking every Friday night with the others, spending more of your crappy salary than you could afford you would be seen as a bad team player.

The students are amazing. They made every day of the job different and rewarding.

Poor staff training Lack of support for staff Poor pay for the skill required to do this job successfully Staff concerns are minimised and not taken seriously No real career progression Company claims to support diversity and inclusifve practice yet promotions and progression opportunities tend to go to white members of staff. Lack of diversity in senior management team

Amazing children. Good for starting in this career

Horrible management, rude, toxic, no training., low very low salary, injury, horrible supervisor, you have to have a really strong thick skin if you want to work and last for few years.
