Pros

Great brand with strong heritage and brand story with lots of untapped potential. Given autonomy and exposure to much more than other companies. Immediate team great to work with.

Cons

Infrastructure not moved in line with business growth. No clear business vision. Revolving door of senior management. Lots of unnecessary barriers. Very little commitment to make big decisions. No investment in employee training. Difficult, often unfriendly culture. Recruit leaders with no people management skills and often absent from business and never available for sign off. Unprofessional conduct in senior meetings at director level.

Pros

Good benefits. Some great people across different departments

Cons

Board of directors is a consistent revolving door that changes almost of a quarterly basis. If your face doesn’t fit, you’re out. Because of this, there is no clear direction for the business other than to make consumers pay as much as humanly possible for a tin of below average, inconsistent soup. The customer and consumer are the very last thing taken into consideration. Customer feedback is blatantly ignored. The business openly refuses in investment to bring systems and procedure up to a 21st century way of working. Lack of development and recognition. Sales people are underpaid massively vs the wider market.

Pros

Can be flexible and trusting in a family business.

Cons

Lack of investment within business, infrastructure dangerous in most cases with no health and safety. Greedy managers take most of the money. False promises with progression as family and friends always get the positions, dropping employees easily when needed.
