Pros
- they have finally got microsoft email. it only took 100 years. The system they were using previously you couldn't even search old emails on it properly. A company that is this late to the party just on email software installation gives you a sense immediately how scarily underfunded the site is. - salary was excellent. An attractive salary is only offered because no one wants to work in the middle of nowhere. So salary helps but trust me the cons don't even make the salary worth it in the end.
Cons
- there is no work life balance here. All managers do ridiculous hours, 12-14 hours every day. Often people will finish their work then take their laptop home to do even more work!!!! If you don't then you achieve 0 work. Only workaholics survive here. - All the processes are broken and fixing them is a mission and a half as there is no teamwork between the departments and a lot of silo thinking. - All the equipment is ancient in the factory and there is no money available to fix it. - Very high turnover of staff due to burn out and lack of positive change. - Staff get 6 months full sick pay. If you pull an employee up for poor performance they will go on sick leave or stress leave the next day for 6 months, how is a manager suppose to achieve anything in this situation?? HR department are very poor on this front. - Bullied into doing overtime without pay or time in lieu. - Everyone knows everyones salary which is really weird and unprofessional. people would often in meetings make comments about your salary and therefore believe you should take on even more work. WHAT! salaries should not be published!!!
