Pros

- Generally very flexible around work / life balance. - Most of the people on the ground doing the day to day work are genuinely nice and fun to work with.

Cons

- Technical decisions made without proper consideration and talking with the people who actually do the work. - Ruthlessly making people with over 10 years of service redundant to employ "a better calibre of people" (actual ceo quote). When the people being made redundant have the skillset but have been actively prevented from employing it by management. - Asked people who were not furloughed in COVID19 to take pay cuts "for the survival of the business" but now in record selling months after lockdown "Will not consider making those people whole". - No proper design processes or SEO team, as a dev you are expected to just pick that up. It means endless rework and finger pointing. - Incredibly convoluted legacy systems and complicated business rules. - Reliance on 3rd party consultants and agencies means lots of technical debt and poorly written code.

Pros

Fellow teammates are a great bunch, central offices and that's probably everything.

Cons

I work in the revenue management function and strongly suggest that senior management looks into how this operation works. The RM leader likes to ensure no one has the ability to think for themselves. The way RM is run is very old school and the problem is if you try and do what is right, you get questioned on everything! you might as well do the job and remove any brain you have as its management way or the highway. The atmosphere is very toxic and this all stems from the RM leader who has been in the business for a long time and is very fixated on ways. This is definitely not an area I would recommend to anyone who wants to join the business to learn RM as all you learn is how to hold out on price and then slash everything, No point talking to HR as everyone knows about the issues in the department and no-one takes notices. Until the management of the department doesn't change, nothing will. I used to work with some great and experienced revenue people and they left all for the same reason and the senior management just let them go. Such a shame.

Pros

Some of the people were lovely

Cons

Completely shattered my mental health. Want results overnight and drop you in a heartbeat when they realise you’re struggling with overwhelming workload with zero support.
